K-FOIL Aluminium Foil Tape EN13501-1 B s1 d0

Description

Description

Kingdom’s Aluminium Foil Tape is a high-performance, self-adhesive tape designed for demanding industrial
and construction environments. It is manufactured using a 30-micron aluminium foil backing
with a water-based acrylic adhesive and a white paper release liner,
giving excellent durability, adhesion and fire-safety performance.

Key Features

  • 30-micron aluminium foil backing
  • Water-based acrylic adhesive
  • White paper release liner
  • Strong, long-lasting adhesion
  • Excellent vapour barrier capability
  • Supports fire prevention and thermal insulation systems

Applications

Suitable for a wide range of industries and environments, including:

  • Construction
  • HVAC, ducting & ventilation
  • Aerospace
  • Automotive
  • Asbestos removal
  • Thermal insulation

Common uses include forming vapour barriers, sealing joints and seams, enhancing fire performance,
reducing corrosion risk and improving overall insulation efficiency.

Temperature Resistance

  • Service temperature: 0°C to 80°C
  • Application temperature: 0°C to 40°C

Available Sizes

  • Standard master logs: 1200mm wide × 50m
  • Slit rolls available in any width on request
  • Stock widths: 50mm, 75mm, 100mm

Fire Rating: EN13501-1: B-s1, d0

Our Aluminium Foil Tape is tested and classified to EN13501-1: B-s1, d0.
This is a key advantage for modern building projects where fire performance is critical.

  • B – Very limited contribution to fire
  • s1 – Minimal smoke production (best possible smoke rating)
  • d0 – No flaming droplets

Building regulations are moving away from the older “Class O” system towards the EN13501-1 Euroclass
standard. Using a product rated B-s1, d0 helps ensure compliance with current and future fire-safety
expectations and makes specification simpler for designers and contractors.

Shelf Life

When stored in correct conditions, the tape has a shelf life of
12 months from receipt of goods.

Application Guidance

To achieve the best performance:

  • Ensure the bonding surface is clean, dry and free from dust or oils.
  • Suitable cleaning agents include isopropyl alcohol or heptane.
  • Ideal tape application temperature: 21°C – 38°C (70°F – 100°F).
  • Avoid applying the tape below 10°C (50°F).
  • Apply firm, even pressure to maximise adhesive contact and bond strength.
